New(to me anyway) S&W 910

Hi,

After searching for 59, 459, or 5906 in the last thread, I discovered another option: A S&W 910. It seems that this is a economy version of the above models, sharing many components and of course a lower price, $230 out the door. Fired it, and it is very accurate and no jams.

I'm told that59 series magazines and most 59 series accessories should work in the 910 as well except for maybe holsters. Is that correct?

You've done very well! I know they're called the "economy version" but they are no less excellent weapons. There are some MIM parts (no biggie to me) and the slide top is beveled rather than radiused (I like the look), and plastic sights, but there is no sacrifice in shooting quality and reliability. I have a 457and so far I'm as pleased as punch. I'd love to have a 910 or 908.

59-series magazines will definitely work. Holsters might be a little more problematic depending on how tightly fitted they are.
