For all you Colt wheelgun fans, here's the latest addition to my little collection. It's a Colt Trooper MK V, which is the frame of a King Cobra mated to a Trooper barrel, but the barrel has a vent rib like the Python. It makes for a great package.

This one is like new and it doesn't look like it was fired other than being test fired at the factory. It came with the box and papers for $349. What a deal!!!

A very nice MkV and a great price to boot, but a strange explanation of the revolver. The Trooper MkV preceeded the King Cobra.

That's true Majic. The Mk V did preceed the King Cobra. The Mk V was the first Colt to use the V frame. The lockwork was slightly modified from the J frame Mk III to give it a better DA lock time.

Nice looking gun. I dont see many colts around here, which is a shame. I do have a few 1911's but one day I would add a Python or King Cobra aresonal.

Very nice Colt!:) I like the Colt trooper. Bought a MKIII 6" used in '75 when I was in College and still have it. Picked up the 6" old model a year or 2 later. I bought the 4" old model at the December gun show, its like new. Here's a picture of my little Trooper family.
