got my GSG-5...took my chances and got some accessories that i did not know if they would work, they did, a few mods but nothing to hard...

still waiting on my aimpoint and rail covers but she is pretty much done...

also it shoot perfect, shot 400 rounds no missfires, very happy with it, seems solid, nice and heavy, fun and cheap to shoot.

What brand/places did you get those parts? Real MP5 collapsible buttstocks are $400+. I assume you used an airsoft version but google turns up no airsoft stocks so far.

gun (475)

nitro.vo handguars (100) (airsoft, but not made of ****ty pot metal, had to bend the tabs on the inside, but fits well, vertually no play.

utg HK mount (20) good quality, works great...

classic arm new style stock (55) had to do some sanding to get it to fit and it fits super tight, butit works great, nice lockup, very sturdy, does not wobble...

still waiting on aimpoint clone and rail covers...i figue a clone for a clone is ok, and its a fun gun, not a SHTF gun anyway...

Makes way more sense to spend $500 on a clone of an MP5 that actually shoots real bullets instead of plastic BB's, than spend $500+ on a clone of an MP5 that takes batteries :D

I'm so jealous, I don't plan on buying as many guns this year as I did last (bills and all) but the GSG-5 is certainly one that I do plan on buying!

You are the first person that I know of who modified airsoft accessories to fit on a real gun. Usually its the other way around.

Very cool .
Well it is an Airsoft modified to shoot bullets...

Well, by adding a collapsible stock, you may have made the rifle "unsporting." Without swapping several german parts for ones made in the USA, it is illegal.

BTR worte:

The collapsible stock doesn't affect the GSG5 legally in any way. It is rimfire...922r doesn't apply.

I have 2k rounds through my GSG-5 and have enjoyed every shot. My rifle is boringly accurate and reliable.

Is it just the picture or is the stock canted?

NO the stock is not canted...my camera is jacked, something wrong with the lens, its on straight and tight...i need to retake some pics so it shows how good it realy looks...

here is a link to a link we have put togewther showing all the good info on the GSG in one thread, and all on the first page, makes it nicer then having to search threw tons of pages finding info, all the info on the brand name of the accessories and how to mod them is there as well:

I have never shot a MP5 with a A3 retractable stock. Is it comfy and sturdy like the normal stock? Is there any wobble when the stock is extended? I noticed from you pics, when the stock is retracted that it blocks the ejection port. Can the stock be shorten so that it clears the port or will this affect the sturdiness of the stock?

it is sturdy when fully extended...IMO it is more sturdy then the stock that comes on the gsg...

yes, it does barily block the ejection port...at first i was going to modify this, but in the end i decided im not woried abou it...you could fix it with the proper tools by shortening the rails from the back and adding 2 new noches for it to lock into, but for me not worth the trouble...i dont have the want to shoot it when fully retracted...

or you can wait (who knows how long) for the gsg made a3 to get into the us...for all i know they might block it to...if they dont block it i might by one, but for now this satisfies me.

I sooOoOoOOoOOo I want one of those. Badly. Probably at the top of my list at this point.

i got the gsg5 pistol and made it a sbr class3 .22 cal is not covered under 922r and either are pistols. if anyone wants to build an import pistol.

I love my GSG-5!!!!

The group below was shot using Walmart Federal Bulk ammo with a cheap red dot sight. To be fair, the dot covered the black circle at 50yds, so I had to hold center on the orange square. I expect that it could do better with a scope.

It's my understanding that the GSG-5 is basically a high-quality airsoft gun with real gun internals, so airsoft accessories are actually what should fit on it the best. Real MP5 accessories will not all fit, from what I have read. If I were to get a GSG5 (which I might), I would put an airsoft lighted foregrip and an airsoft collapsable stock on it, because they would actually fit better and they are cheaper.

i bought one a few months ago, its a lot of fun to shoot.its such a cool gun, one of the coolest 22's to come along in a long time. i would love to see a psg1 version,(psg-5):D with a heavy target barrel, adjustable stock, target trigger;that would cause such a frenzy ,just like the gsg did.:what:...........
