Hello, how do tell one from the other visually? I am looking at a magnum cylinder but it is not marked which one it is for. It is non-fluted if that helps.

That's the magnum cylinder. Shove a .22 Mag in it. If it fits, you found it.

Sorry, I don't have it in my hands. It's online. Do you know if they made an unfluted 22 magnum cylinder for the old model?

Not sure if they made unfluted .22 Magnum cylinders for older Single Sixes but my extra cylinder is fluted and has no other markings or cartridge designation on it.

My old SS made in 1961 has a fluted 22 mag cylinder. And its marked 22 mag. My new model SS has an unfluted 22 mag cylinder and is roll marked 22 mag around the cylinder behind the locking bolt cut outs.
