i hae never heard of that particular mount but all the others i have seen that replace the rear sight are not good for anything, youd have better luck replacing the iron sights

Thats what I'm curious about, acording to this they do not replace the rear sight, You drive out the pins and bolt this unit thru the iron sight where the pins were and mount the scope mount by using 2 small bolts. My question is whether or not it would be strong enough considering the fact the iron sight actually does not get replaced and was curious as to if anyone here had tried or used such a mount. But thanks for you response. Guess I'll wait and see if anyone else responds ,if not the idea seems sound, I was just lookin to see if anyone had applied it yet,Thanks,Tommy

Guess I'll find out sooner than later. The company in question is based in N.C and since my blood runs tarheel blue they are sending me a unit at no cost to try out and if it turns out to be a viable well made unit all they have asked is that I report back to them about how well it holds up thru the summer. With over a K of rounds for shooting it should be interesting to see how well it works and what if any mods might be made in the future. We discussed a feature that would incorporate the ability to move the scope for and aft on the rail and they are in the works according to Steve . So perhaps this will solve my dilema and I will post the results here after mounting the scope , but 1st I have to get the thing put together, will show pics after its all said and done,Tommy
