NEXT? Building up my SHTF guns...

Now I'm not really trying to start a SHTF thread, more just looking for advice on what to buy next. Thus far, I have picked up the following:

-Remington 870 Tactical 12ga (Surefire 618LF, Knoxx Stock, XS Sights)
250rd Federal LE 00 Buck, 100rd Rem#4 Bird, 150rd Rem#4 Buck, 100 1oz Slug

-Glock 30SF (Trijicon NS, 2 extra Mags)
500rd Federal Hydra-Shok 185+P, 1500rd Federal 230 Cleanfire

-Marlin 981T, Weaver K4
5000rd CCI Mini Mags



I know the glaring void thus far is stopping power at 100+. I'm trying to keep with the theme of reliability. The following are the things I definately want to add, you tell me whats first on the list:

-Vector Polish AK-47 w/ Ultimak Scout Rail and Aimpoint CompM2
-DPMS LR-308B --OR-- SA SOCOM 16
-Glock 21 w/ Streamlite TLR-1
-Marlin 1894C .357
-S&W 686+ .357
-FN A5 M SPR .308
-Norinco SKS 7.62x39

I think having all of these would be great, as I like the solid reliability of all, common ammunition, and nearly all share a caliber with another weapon in the group, i.e. 2 x .357, 2 x .45, 2 x .308, 2 x 7.62

Sorry for the long post, but I'd like to get this right, and this seems the BEST place to ask. So what do you think>

I would go with an SKS just because of the ammo.

lol alright, i'll make sure between consulting my range card and dialing in my dope, i pull up THR and give you the heads up.

You'd go SKS over the AK given the same ammo?

Heck no, go with the AK.

SKS are great, but AK is far superior for zombie hunting.

Just do what I do. File that list in the back of your mind. Next time you are in a gun shop pawn shop or at a gun show, do a walk around and see what's on your list. Then buy the one that is the best deal.

Or in other words, buy one of each.

FN-FAL? I know it is not on the list and I do not want to be "that guy" but I guess I am. The FAL is a superb field rifle. More accurate than most people and will eat anything.

The answer for "what gun for SHTF" remains the same: The one you know how to shoot.

SHTF threads tend to spin off into fantasy land, however. Time would be better spent on specific discussions of improving marksmanship and gun handling skills, than posting about what gun you plan to use to repel whatever happens to be your worst-case scenario.
