I received a letter from the ATF in the mail about 2 weeks ago. I saw it and thought 
all at the same time. I am currently between NFA builds or purchases, so what the heck is this. After opening it I was like , my change of address has been processed. I mailed in a change of address form after buying my house so the ATF would know my toys are being stored somewhere else. Since then I have made a SBS and bought another suppressor. I just figured they filed my new address form a long time ago.
Now guys and gals, I will tell you I am slow as molasses sometimes, but, the ATF is slower than me. I bought my house and filed the change of address May of 2008. It took 2 years to process it. Their response said something like. " We recently received your change of address request and have processed it. Thank you for helping us keep our records as up to date as possible. If I can further assist you or if you have any questions, please contact me at..." 2 years; wow!
I can just only hope that a change of address takes so long because they are busy arresting people breaking ATF/NFA laws or processing applications for all of us lawful citizens that happen to have a little more eccentric taste when it comes to guns and accessories. I just thought someone might need to hear something funny to counteract the crap they put up with on a typical Monday.
