I have the opportunity to purchase a NIB with all factory accessories GLOCK 21 Gen 3 , 2013 production for $440 total with shipping, insurance and transfer.

With the advent of the G21 SF, Gens 4 & 5 , would you consider the above a good deal or one to pass on ?

Thanks.

It’s a great gun. I’ve got a Gen4 G-21, $440 all in is not a bad price if it’s truly NIB, but you could save a lot if you negotiated for a decent used version and there are plenty of those out there..

$440 all in, for nib is a great deal. Unless you really want those extra backstraps. I have fairly large hands and long fingers but shoot my gen 4 20 & 21 with no added backstrap. Ever heard someone say " glock 21 grip is too small"? I prefer the gen 3 finish and you can change the recoil spring to a gen 4 design if you like, but why bother. I have a 30sf that is excellent and wouldnt hesitate to buy any other gen 3 model if the price is right.

I think the price is reasonable, but as mentioned, the G21 is a big gun, and personally I wouldn't consider any G21 unless it is an SF, or Gen 4/5, and even then I'd have to think twice about it. However, if I had really big hands it would be a different story. The G21 is a good gun, and if it fits your hands, I think you'd be happy with it.

Pricewise, it’s a decent deal. I am not a fan of the Gen3 grip texture, and I prefer the Gen4s.

If the finger “grooves” fit your grip and it feels good in the hand it seems like a good deal.

Have you held one? They're not small. Good price if you want it.

I never understand who they make the large backstrap for on the large frame glocks. No additional backstrap is still large, who are they marketing that to, shaquille O'Neal ? I actual have a buddy who's 6'4"ish that insists the 20/21 is best for him with largest backstrap, but shoots 1911s fine all the time. I dont know.

It sounds like a good deal if that is what you want. I prefer the SF version- at 5'6" I don't have huge hands.

I'd call $440 a good deal, if it fits your hands and is what you want. The Gen 4 & 5, SF, and all that other jazz only matters if they have features that you want that you can't get on this one. I bought a low-mileage used Gen 3 G21 with (IIRC) 2 mags and the case, but almost none of the other factory accessories for $450 about 3-4 years ago. It wasn't a screaming deal, but it was a good one, and I wanted a G21 at the time.

I like the medium beavertail on my Gen 4 21, and dont find widebody 1911s at all uncomfortable in the hand (concealing them is, on the other hand, a bit trickier).

And yeah, you gotta have some meaty hands to want to go BIGGER.

OP, $440 is a decent price NIB but you will want to handle or shoot a non-SF 21 first, they are pretty hefty in the hand.
