Dear THR member,

Republican candidate for Governor Steve Lonegan has made 4 tickets available to the NJCSD to attend the Bergen County Friends Of the NRA banquet that he would like to use as fundraisers for his campaign. For more information on the NJCSD, please vist our bulletin board and get to know us better!

The banquet is tomorrow night, the 28th, at 7PM to be held at the Fiesta on Rt. 17 in Bergen County. We regret the last minute notice, but we just found out about it ourselves.

For those who have never been to an FONRA banquet, it's a fun evening out with fellow gun rights advocates. There are MANY raffle and auction items up for grabs, dinner, some guest speakers, and a night without dirty dishes to clean up. What more could you ask for?!?!?

The proceeds from the FONRA usually go to the NRA-ILA. But this time, things are different.

It is VERY important for those of us in New Jersey who support RKBA to understand how the political machinery works with regard to campaign finance. At the early point in a race, there is a 3:1 MATCHING GRANT available for those candidates who are able to generate $750,000 before a certain point in the race as a litmus test to see who is a viable choice in the marketplace. So far, Steve's campaign has been hugely successful, but we all know that you can never rest until you get to the finish line.

Phrased another way, if you were to donate the face value of $40 to Steve's campaign in exchange for one of the tickets, that represents $80 in matching funds for a total of $120 toward his campaign war chest!!!

Please respond to me at [email protected] if you are able to be with us tomorrow to meet Steve Lonegan personally, and have a fun evening out at the same time!

I would be there, and so would my wife, but I have an exam in one of my math classes tomorrow night at that time which I absolutely cannot miss, and my wife is about eight months pregnant and is going to be at her OBGYN's office at around that time as well. I will forward your message, Rovert, to any of my fellow NJ gun nuts that would be interested (provided they haven't heard about it already). Best of luck!
