Went to the PA Gun Collectors Show outside Pittsburgh today. Was looking for a Hakim rifle with certain expectations that a show with 750 plus tables would have at least 3-4 to offer. There was not Hakim to find anywhere! I was even shocked that I only saw one FN49 in 7mm Mauser, and that had an attractive but poorly refinished stock for $495. Took about 2 hours to walk thru once and it was packed with people. Did get an outstanding deal in 8mm Romanian ammo, 380 round can for $30 out the door!
It was such a good deal I purchased a case of two tins. In hind sight I would have gotten one more case but it would be way too much to carry to the car. The PA Gun Collectors have 6 shows a year at the Expo Center in Monroeville, PA. I guess I'll go again in May and keep looking for a Hakim or another FN49 in 8mm.
