*****, I planned to go out this year for the first time on my own. Normally I party hunt in Shotgun as a guest with my uncle.

I had it all planned out, I would shoot my XD45Tac, because I would have to buy a muzzle loader otherwise, I got my Gander Mt Meat Grinder 1/2 Horse, and plenty of orange to feel safe on public hunting by my self.

Even worked out the strategy that I half scouted out during my shotgun season, that is, in the 20 degree blowing cold, not many Hunters want to bust ass to get the the other side of a woods but they all insert from the main road.

Since I loved working outside in the Subzero temps, I'd be crazy enough to go out at 3am, trek through the woods to the other side, and sit till dawn and let everyone come at me.

Well, I don't know about all you but with no snow on the ground here yet in January I think it would be a feudal attempt. In my shotgun season it rained and no snow, and it was abysmal. Pushers probably walking right past a 10pt buck laying in some brush.:banghead:

To make it worse in shotgun I was a guest hunter, and I got "PUT" everywhere and wasn't really allowed to go where I wanted, and literally every time the deer came out right in front of where I wanted to be.
