I have a 1911that I converted to 460 Rowland. This involves installing a compensated barrel that adds about 1.5” to the length of the gun. Are there any good options for compensated 1911 guns that aren’t skeletonized or otherwise impractical for normal carry?

It just sticks out of the slide like a Beretta 92 barrel does? If so, most holsters are open at the bottom and you could just let that extra barrel stick out of the bottom.

Not exactly. It continues the profile of the top of the slide. Like this:

Any open-nosed 1911 holster should work fine. Kydex probably best as it will hold its shape. Just make sure the bottom edges of the holster aren't rounded in, or you can bandsaw the bottom of the holster off.
