Well I picked up a Norinco 213 today. Its stainless and the 4 digits on the magazine match the last 4 digits of the serial number. It was imported by Sports Arms of Miami, FL. Is there anything I should know before using? How about parts interchangeability with tt 33s? General Impressions by those who have used or owned them... Thanks

My Norinco 213 was my go to pistol for years. I bought 2 of them in 1992, $89 each. I put one in the safe, and shot the other one weekly. I had over 55,000 rounds through it when I finally gave it to my brother. It was my most accurate semi-auto handgun.
I own the Norinco 213 ex-safe queen and a Romanian TT-33. I just won an auction for a Yugo M57.
I was able to get the Romanian's barrel (7.62x25) to fit in the Norinco, I used the barrel bushing from the Romanian. It works the other way also. You have to remove the spacer in the back of the magazine well to fit the original 7.62x25 magazines in the Norinco 213. I only hand cycled the Norinco with the 7.62 rounds, it seems to work OK. The ejection port on the 213 is too small to eject an unfired 7.62 cartridge. I had to remove the magazine to get the unfired round out of the pistol.
It is real easy to convert these pistols to fire 9x23 Winchester, that is what I normally shoot in the Romanian.

This is only the SECOND stainless Tok I've heard referenced. EVER

Please please post some pictures

I like these handguns, they're slim reliable and in my experience quite accurate. But for the love of Thor don't alter this handgun in any way

Im not much for altering. I like it just fine the way it is. Ill get some pics today. Then Ill try to locate the cord that allows me to upload pics. The grip is missing a decent sized chunk on one side, and is cracked on the other. Ill buy some backups in the near future.

Looks like stainless to me. But Im no expert. Ill have pics of it later. Then a more qualified source is welcome to chime in.

took a pic

Heres a pic, if anyone wants something more detailed let me know and Ill see what I can do.

Wow, that is a sharp looking piece !

I've got two incoming (yes I'm a Canuk) for a total of less than 250CDN

One of the few times being stuck is Canada has worked in my favor.

Thanks guys. Im excited to shoot it. I just have to wait a few days. I hate waiting...Pageophile, are you able to get spare mags at a reasonable price? By that I mean less than $25USD. And does anyone have a good source for replacement grips?

grips are all over e-bay, the last new set I bought came out of Romania for less than $20

as to mags where is the "spacer" in this particular handgun? In the mag or in the frame?

Either way my 213 with the spacered mags feeds 9mm FMJ just fine from unmodded 7.62x25tok mags. Which are cheap and plentiful I might add.

spacer is in the pistol. So in theory, I could remove the spacer and use 7.62x25 mags, without issue?

It looks pinned in to me, so I guess that would be the rivet. and I just broke the damn grip. It already had a pretty large crack in it. Does anyone make a decent aftermarket grip that is the same, just made of a more durable material?

Yep. Remove the mag, clear the weapon, then look in the mag opening for a slotted lever that lies against the back side of one of the grips. It should be at the end of its travel range. Take a screwdriver or similar tool and push it the other way and that grip should just about fall off. The other grip should be obvious at that point.

Theotherwaldo, Ive gotten that far, my question is how do you remove the latches from the plastic itself. Both of my grips are screwed up in one way or another, so Id like to replace them. Some of the replacements dont come with the moving parts, so Id like to know how to remove and/or install those pieces to the grips themselves. Thanks

Mine are all riveted. Peened over. You'll probably have to grind out the rivet in your old grip and then fabricate one for your new grip, then peen the parts together without shattering the grip... somehow. Good luck.

For those interested, I took the Norinco 213 out today. Shot around 30 rounds of various 115gr ball in it, no issues. Reasonably accurate. Perhaps it will get better once I replace the grips, but it shot fine to me. I enjoy it, and plan on keeping it.

I think your Nork is nickle. I have seen one other nickle 213 on Gunbroker. I also seen a wide body hi capacity version that I should have bought. If I remember correctly it was called a 213A.
I don't own one but I like them.

I think your Nork is nickle. Treat it like its nickle anyway. I have seen one other nickle 213 on Gunbroker. I also seen a wide body hi capacity version-blue that I should have bought. If I remember correctly it was called a 213A.
I don't own one but I like them.

Apologies for the double strike.

Sorry to resurrect an older thread, but I just picked up a 213 exactly like the pics that frightener posted, and I was wanting some clarification on the mags so I can pick up a few while it is being shipped to my FFL. From what I'm reading into what you've posted above it seems as if I would be able to use any of the narrow 8rd mags in this pistol, is that correct. I'm intuiting that I could just remove the spacers from the mags with spacers and they would works as is, am I off base on this? Sorry for the questions, I just want to get the right mags for my new little toy.

Additional pics for no good reason:

Just an FYI I believe the 213's are hard chrome and not stainless based on my research.
