Norinco Mak 90

Hi, I'm going to buy a Norinco Mak 90 from a friend of mine, its only been shot by me, about 100 rounds, still in original packaging with accessories and 3 additional 30 round mags. Anybody know what would be a good price?? I'm thinking around $500 but am not sure because I've ssen some go for much higher. What do you all think??

before the election 4-500 was the going rate for really good mak 90 examples. Now with the gouging that's been election induced its hard to say (i've see 650 locally for an unconverted stamped thumb hole stock). I wouldn't pay too much, if you think about it your getting close to Bulgarian prices if you get much higher than what I've seen some go for.

Depends on the Mak-90 in question. A local shop has a stamped receiver version for sale at $700 and comes with only one 10rd mag. I remember when you could buy new Mak-90's for around $300 years ago. Now it seems you're lucky to find one under $600 I think if I stumbled across any Mak-90 for $500 or less I would snatch it up, seems like they are only going up in value.

My dream is to find a milled Mak-90 for $600 or less.....I can still dream can't I

i think $500 is an honest price, maybee a little under what the market is dicatating right now but your for sure not low balling the guy.

i would pay 500$ for a Mak90. seems very reasonable to me in the current market.

its impossible to use gunbroker any more to guage the price of any gun that is semi auto lol so i would say that route is out. Mak90's are not "that" common in gun shops. so its hard to get a local price check on one.

so i would say 450-500 is a very good price for you, decent price for your buddy. (depending on what he paid for it) if he wants more tell him to put it on GB and see what he can get or sell it outright at a local show.

no a few years ago. if i was gonna pay that much for an ak i would get a yugo or a rifle dynamics ak.

The last thumbhole Mak-90s were running about $200 at gun shows here before the import ban. I stored away a couple and converted after the ban expired. IMHO better net result than the Romianians, but not as nice as a converted Saiga.

My Opinion is that 500-600 would be fair, current prices. Truthfully, in some areas it may fetch more (But for how long????)

Buy it for $500 and both of you get a good deal. If he bought it awhile ago he will still make money and you don't pay too much for an overpriced gun.

the mak in question is it the .223 round or the 7.62? once in a while go to gun broker and see that the .223 are fetching pretty high and also allot of bids for it. i was lucky to have got mine for 300 bucks about a month ago. the way prices are going now 500 sounds fair

$500 seems to be the going price these days. That really hurts since I bought my pair for $250 and $325. BTW, I absolutely love the MAK-90, thumbhole stock and all.

Mine was nib in 2004 for $ 400 incldg shipping and transfer fees. I bet it has risen to what the price is today. All roads lead to Rome in this new administration. Might as well get it now fast.

BTW, a $300 AK back in 1988 (which would come new with some 30 rds
mags, sling, kit, etc) when adjusted for the "official" inflation rate would be
$538.69 in 2008 (pre-crazy election).
