I stumbled on their website ( http://www.nramt.com ) when looking into those old EAA single shot conversion for the 1911.

They look interesting, but they don't seem to EXIST outside of their own website. By that, I mean, I can't find any forum threads, reviews, youtube videos or anything about them.

Has anyone here even heard of them?

Looks interesting but before the "what you need" and "what you get" tabs they should have a "why you want it" tab.

Because its a good way to shoot rifle calibers in a pistol size gun without buying a whole other gun?

Because some places (nowhere in the US :)) have a limit on the number of firearms a citizen may own but this is tracked by serial # and on a M1911 the frame is the serial #'d part, this then allows you to have multiple guns on one frame.

I'm not a particular fan of the idea or anything, just saying there are a few halfway decent reasons.

Thanks. Keep in mind that not everyone is being snarky or sarcastic. My point was that the sight does no good in "selling" me on the concept without addressing the whys as you have.

So... It's an alternative to a TC for the most part? Now I can revisit with a bit more interest.

Yeah, the website is sparse, there's been no reviews in magazines or blogs that I can find, I can't find any of the actual item on gunbroker...

I'm kinda stumped about this whole company and their product.

I stumbled upon it while looking up more info on the EAA Thor, which hasn't been imported in a while, as far as I can tell.
