Well, its about time! This particular seller seems to be clearing out alot of his collection so be sure to ask if he has any other beauties he's getting rid of also. Like a 4" 617, for instance. If so, we might have to go up there together!

MD 17's

Kony,

I have a reply from the 17s in MD. I asked to see them early on Sat and it looks to be about 2-1/2 hour trip to Parkton. I will keep you informed in case you really want to go.

Think 8-3/8 inch barrel. :neener: It will take me 5 minutes just to draw it from a holster. :cuss:

Hightech

... Got my 640-1 back from Smith today ...

Looks sweet! Is it hammerless or just a recessed hammer?

What with all the wheel guns you guys have I do think about one from time to time. Then I go shooting and think "with my aim, I need all the rounds I can have", and go back to practice with my G17

Well, technically, it does have an internal hammer ... but yes, it is completely encased. This is the same wheelgun I brought with me to the September Magnum Night. It had an excessive barrel/cylinder gap and was spitting so I sent it off to Smith. Hopefully, its fixed. Turnaround time? FedEx picked it up at my place on 10/3 and it arrived on 10/11 (yesterday). That's a door-to-door interval of only 8 days!!! :what: Needless to say, I think they are the if not one of the fastest in the industry.

Kony - Suh Weet ! :D

I think Jerry would approve.

You tryin' to sneak up on my snub collection?

Of course, if you'd been where you were supposed to be last Friday, you'd have known that I've added to my collection :neener: But, alas, you couldn't be bothered...

I'll be touring the museum w/ the Mrs. this Friday so you're just going to have to wait :neener:

Slate:
I love the smell of charred Smurf in the morning . . . . It smells like . . . . victory!!

It's the other, OTHER blue meat!

DC Warnings

Pretty funny, KONY. We need to paste this notice on the poles and work sites like everybody else does. We can also add the followng:

Chief Ramsey is Powerless to help you. When you go missing, they won't find your body.

Aha! Proves I was right about the wheelgun! :neener: I will be there, snub-afied!

I'll pass on the trip unless he's really selling his 617.

Well, he just emailed me saying he's keeping his 617. :(

THR Snub-fest

10/21/05. Be there(NRA). Bring your snubs. For the purposes of this discussion, snub means a 3" barrel or LESS. Caliber is open.

NO excuses. If you don't have a snub, beg, borrow or otherwise procure one for this exercise.

Those who don't show, have only pieces of cr@p for handguns :neener:

There is something quite special about those snubbies. Couldn't believe I was able to get the 640-1 I'd been seeking so long. Now, I got my eye out for its airweight counterpart. Just need to get those silly rubber grips off ... got wood? :neener:

Just got back from ICORE. I don't have the stinking cable to upload the video :banghead: 4 stages. One had a popper which triggered a swinging target. Good thing that popper was messed up for me and the next shooter in the stage, 'cause I blew it.

It was shoot the popper, it was to fall, pulling the pin on the swinging target, which got 2 shots, Then you drilled targets 1, 3 & 5 with 1 shot, reload, shooting 3 shots in targets 2 & 4. The popper wouldn't fall. I got to do it 2x and keep the good score. Completely ruined my rhythm for the stage. 2nd go was much better. I was able to slow myself down a couple times and get more accurate shots on the targets, so I made some improvement.

More consistent fire from the barrel too

got wood?
