    At Bull Run.

    How does 7:00 p.m. sound?

That should give the worst of the traffic time to clear and allow the people going out to get there in time.

    Who's in?

    I'll be there.

BTW, what are we shooting? Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays?

How many shells will we need?

"How many shells will we need?"

Good question. I usually bring at least 100, just in case.

I've had good luck with 2 3/4" 3Dram shells using about an ounce of #8 shot. Conveniently, you can buy these by the 100rnd pack at Wal-Mart for $14.88 (Federal or Winchester).

    Bingo.

That's what I'll be shooting. At least that's what I think I bought the last time I got shells at WallyWorld.

Thanks guys. buying shotgun shells is so complicated compared to rilfe or pistol ammo where about the only thing you need to look for is bullet type and weight. The last time i bought SG shells i bought 20 ga by mistake and had a heck of a time keeping them little suckers from falling out of my barrel, thank god for duct tape!

Please tell me that you're joking...

In any event, I'd suggest not getting any shot larger than 7 1/2.

I'll be there too. I'll have extra boxes of shells and you can always buy extra boxes at Bull Run.

Depending on how many people show up, we can shoot wobble trap, regular trap, and/or skeet. Wobble trap and regular trap are limited to 5 shooters. We could probably get away with a couple of more shooters with skeet or perhaps shoot on two fields.

Is wobble trap the one with the pyramid configuration?

    That's the one I like.

    I stink at skeet.

Yeah but some folks will tell you that you really need 7.62MM NATO to really put the little buggers down.
