So, I havent posted many updates on my shooting this season, just been to busy. I have been shooting well, consistently moving my index up. Tonite was icing on the cake though. I shot my highest Rapid Fire target ever, a 97. Its only a 1x, I donut shot the 10 ring, but I am still very happy with it. Whatcha think?

How long have you shot bullseye? If not very long, good job! If for years, you might need more practice.

I've been a competitive bullseye shooter for nearly 30 years (club league plus various nearby 2700s. While I have shot many clean scores in timed and rapid, the score I'm most proud of is a 98-8X in .45 slow fire. At my age (65) that's probably as good as it's ever going to get.

This is my second season. I am shooting a 4" S&W 686 with a cheapo truglo green dot on top. I have an index average of 274 right now. We only shoot the NMC, thirty round match, centerfire only.

Just got great news! My 97 1x won high Rapid Fire score for the week! My uncle who shoots on my team also won high Slow Fire score with a 90 4x! Not too shabby in my opinion.

Then not bad at all! The 686 is hardly a target pistol, and I've never even heard of a Truglo sight. Keep up the good work. Just be careful; if you get hooked on bullseye as I did, you're gonna spend a lot of money on guns if you want to be competitive.
