Is pretty easy in this modern world of plenty (we are blessed, are we not?).

Not crying over spilling half a canister of Lil' Gun is a lot harder! Especially when it is your last pound. I'm almost in a state of depression right now. If I could go to my LGS and get another, my attitude would be very different.

Unfortunately the floor was pretty dirty. I considered saving it and sifting it, but I don't know how prudent that is.

I might consider loading .410 shells with it, depends on how contaminated it really appears to be. Like you, I probably wouldnt do much else with it but spread it in the yard.

It's mostly contaminated with sawdust. I sifted through it with a screen several times, and it appears fairly clean. I have it in a jar and may just load some plinking ammo with it if I really get low on powder.

Been there done that, not with that particular powder though.

There is still something to be said about those small screw tops they put on the older powder canisters. They didn't throw out nearly as much as the new big mouthed ones do.

I'll put a candle in the window tonight for you.

If you are in North Texas, pm me.
I don't have Lil Gun, but I have Green Dot, W231 and maybe some Red Dot and Unique.

I'll help if I can.

orionengnr, thank you for the gracious offer. I am in central California and, fortunately, I have plenty of other powders, so I am in no desperate need. I have about half a pound left in the jar I spilled, so it's really not a big deal. I'll just have to keep my eyes open for some when I am out and about. I am hopeful the shortage will ease soon, and thankful that I bought several hundred dollars worth of supplies in 2011.

I spilled a bottle of rifle and pistol powder together, earlier in the year. I swept it up off the floor, but I didn't save it for a rainy day. I immediately worked up a reduced cast rifle load and shot it up. It may have been one of my most accurate loads.

Well, if you sweep it up and get 50% dirt, just load it off Unique data, you will never know the difference! (thats a joke, btw, no one do that, please)

Now that there is Funny!:D

I think Blue Dot qualifies more as Flaming Dirt!
