No target this week since I am winning.
I will be getting out to shoot pretty soon, it has finally quit raining and I am finally over my 2-wk. long allergies/cold/virus junk. I think I will take the 10/22 out one last time before it is decommissioned (turned into a target 10/17)...then hopefully all of the parts will arrive an adequate period prior to the terminus of the match and I will be able to fire the new version as well. :D

You arent getting off that easy HuntAndFish :) I been down with the flu this week. Hopefully I'll be back on my feet and back to the range soon

Nope, I think you will fit nicely in the "Limited Target Class" because it is a .22cal. Good shooting, the target is a little hard to see; does 7, 7, 16, 5, 25, 25, 25, 25, 50, 50 = 235 look about right?

:)

I not in this one guys. In the outdoors my eyes cant see the different colors as they are small and just seem washed out. Maybe I'll try it again earlier in the morning before the sun gets behind me.
Not a very friendly target for iron sights and my eyes

Sorry about that, will change next month. Everyone, feel free to suggest targets for next months match, towards the end of this one.

:)

No problems Maverick
I really like the idea of that target but I just cant see it.

Theory & Practice...

I really like the idea of that target but I just cant see it.
I also really liked the target...in theory (and even decided to reduce the number of shots to make it "easier" to score), but in practice...it doesn't work too well.

:)

Maverick:

The weather in the Midwest will keep us off the outdoor range from now until spring, with the exception of a few mild days.

Can you devise some variation on the contest for 50 ft. indoor ranges?

Orlando: Our indoor range is only 50 FEET. That's a little over 16-1/2 yards, but it would work with very small targets. I download benchrest targets that have a tiny, tiny 10 ring at the center of a one-inch outer bull. If you are resting on a normal rest, and not one of those screw-the-gun-down things, this is a challenging target. Hard to score, however.

Hard to score, however.
On that note, [strike]why don't we just use the same target and make a new division for shooting 50ft indoors[/strike] why don't you design a modified target that fits to a page (instead of just one) and shoot two rounds in each one (will need two sheets, but only shoot 5 small targets). It would probably be best to only use irons [strike]for this new division[/strike]. The target is pretty difficult to score as is.

EDIT: See above...does that sound fair enough for everyone?

:)

We are on a Holiday shortened week so I'm going to the range Wednesday. Think I'm going to change my POA on this target to the triple 20 and see what happens.

As for a 50' target, here is one that may work.

H&F - If I can ever get to the range :cuss:, the triple 20's are going to be my strategy as well :D

Good luck!

I don't know how on earth it could be fairly (for 50ft. and others) scored. I think we should consider the indoor shooters in target selection next month.
