This AR-15 diagram is on a website called "info4guns.com", link below. I found it to be pretty funny. The rear sight is not going to be of much use mounted in front of the optic. What are accessory rail mounting holes? Do you use them to mount stuff with zip ties? And what about the storage tubes on the stock? Was this made up or does someone actually make a stock like that?

Looks like it was drawn by a 10 year old or someone in a foreign country who has no direct access to either real stuff or reliable sources.

I have seen stocks and handguards like that, both from companies that straddle the line between airsoft/toy gun parts and parts for "real" guns (bubba'd by users).

My R-15 has storage in the stock... not "tubes" per say, but storage nonetheless.

It also has "accessory rail mounting holes". The aluminum barrel shroud is drilled and tapped so that I may add rails at a later date if I so desire.

Those holes are for stringing leather twine with decorative beads and hanging possibles. Ain't you never seen that, pilgrim?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but those holes are for screwing in picatinny rail segments. You attach the lasers and such from the picatinny rail segments, not the holes themselves.

I, have seen a fixed tube stock like that on AR's from the AWB era. The only real mistake is having the rear sight in front of the optic.

and the proportions are all wrong. i mean look at the size of the forward assist compared to the ejection port door

that stock looks like an ACE

looks like a magpul grip too, since the standard grip is flat on top and doesn't curve up like that
