Now I wonder...

Do you mean converted from being passive or anti about guns to becoming active RKBA supporters and participants in the ownership/shooting/SD/HD aspects of gun ownership?

I've changed 180 but not in last 1-2 years- more like 12-13 years ago.

Went from commie peacenik (Ho Ho Ho Chi Minh, the NLF is going to win) (sorry to all Viet Vets, we live and learn) to pro gun, pro freedom, pro America neanderthal (to some).

Not an Anti

I was never really an Anti, but up until just a few years ago, I was a prime example of a hunter who never thought any thing would happen to his gun rights. Let's just say I have changed my view points a bit since then, and I am a fairly rabid defender of the 2nd Ammendment, and not 'hunters rights', which are no where in the Constitution.

I was never a anti either, grew up with guns in the household, but never did care either way till a friend of my fathers lit a very big fire under my tail some years back. I've been pro gun ever since.

I was never anti-gun, but I never got any exposure to them as a kid.

I remember, back when I first heard about Florida debating, and eventually passing, their right-to-carry law (I'd never heard of the idea before; I didn't know then that Washington state had a similar law from 1961), thinking that this was a brave experiment, and that there would probably be a significant number of innocent people shot as burglars; but that it might even then be worth it. Boy have I been pleased, it's worked far better than I expected it to; in particular less *cost* as measured in questionable dead bodies.

I think the SF authors Edward E. Smith and Robert A. Heinlein got to me early and taught me that guns were tools, and sometimes supremely useful tools in emergencies.

Fairly shortly after I graduated from college (1977), I got myself a Ruger Mk I .22 and a Security Six .357, and got some friends to show me what to do with them.

I was never an anti-Second Amendment bigot, but didn't become a Second Amendment activist until 1976. I abandoned my collegiate half-baked socialism in 1972—seeing the tax deductions from my first full time, regular job pushed me over the line—but it took another few years for me to realize the Bill of Rights isn't a smörgasbord.

I was not anti put was very passive when it came to knowing how bad our 2nd amendment rights are being eaten away. Hell, i just turned 22 so i guess i'm at that age where i can understand these sort of things. And now i can see the need of more Americans to be able to defend themselves against Bad guys.

Never was anti gun, grew up around them, and started shooting with a BB gun very early in life.

I've always been pro-gun, but never paid much attention to politics until about 3 years ago. Now I work gun shows trying to wake up folks as unaware as I used to be, and perform other pro-RKBA activities.

This coincides with the acquisition of more guns after a 17 year stretch of buying none and shooting rarely. Makling up for lost time.

I certainly never felt that we should ignore one ammendment while upholding the others but I have become much more verbally Pro-Gun in the past five years or so. Trying to recruit new shooters and showing that all gun-owners aren't runnin to the hills completely anti-establishment anti-government.

I'm about that least offensive looking person I know. It may seem silly, but I think that goes a long way with a lot of people.
