I wouldn't mind seeing the old Glock versus P99 brouhaha, or the crowd favorite SIG versus Beretta hoe-down.:D

Hey as long as everybody recognizes that handgun perfection is SIG period. Everything else is just variety.

I am not biased in my opinions either, ohhh no, not at all, now way, no sireeee. :uhoh:

To be honest should your handgun decision come down to picking

An HK
A SIG
A Glock
A Ruger
A Good 1911
A Walther
Or any other of the spectacular guns that are on the market....

You have very little to worry about.

Chris

Hey, how about tearing the quote 'Glock perfection' to pieces..I mean no other handgun has undergone so much major upgrades.. it is not even 2 decades old as yet!!

Glock perfection my :cuss: ..

only if gun makers like car makers, every year they'd have different models with "new and improved" features.
i have the USP 45, and i was about to buy a glock 21.
i see the police here use glocks though.

Springfield vs. Kimber?
Beretta vs. Taurus?
S & W vs. Taurus?
Me, I always think SIG's are the most over rated pistols, and Ruger's are the best buy! :D :D
Fire away!!!

I'm waiting for some mock-clever dingbat to call a P210 a "Gold Cup Tokarev"... grrrrrr....

I'm a 1911 guy, no doubt about it. I have nothing but good things to say about the CZ75/EAA guns as well and they are an excellent value. I like the Beretta/Taurus design but it is largish for CCW - not impossible, but probably not ideal for most folks given the choice. The Glocks, SIGs, USPs, P99s and XDs are what they are... mass produced guns that are typically very reliable. Some are more comfortable to some than others but they will all work 99% for about 95% of shooters. Non gun folks will have few complaints, gun nuts are ALWAYS going to have something to complain about because that's generally what we do. :p

In general, the SIGs have too much slide over the grip or too high of a bore axis. The Glocks are the opposite and that's why I tend to prefer them. Never shot a Compact USP so I cant judge but the full size guns are just too big for me. P99s and XDs I think have the potential to be the best of the breed. P99 triggers seem consistantly good and the XDs have great possibilities but don't know why they went with the grip safety. I think they should really rethink that decision.

Lorcin vs. Hi Point? Hi Point all the way... never personally witnessed one fail yet. Now my Jennings 380 on the other hand... :uhoh:

Sean Smith,

I'm waiting for some mock-clever dingbat to call a P210 a "Gold Cup Tokarev"... grrrrrr....

If I'd just spent $1200+ on a Swiss-built surplus Danish copy of a pre-WWII French service pistol, I'd get pretty wrapped around the axle if someone made fun of it, too. ;) :neener:

There is one battle heating up

It's the XD vs Glock

And I don't think these boys are into kissing and making up...not yet anyways :D

Tamara,

Mine was only $900, and I don't even own it anymore! :D

By the way, how is that SA Pro? I remember somebody making fun of how silly 1911s were with their "skinny little magazines" a while back...

:neener:

Hey, I was young, I was in love, and I had Glocks on the brain... ;)

Well, the Glock vs. Steyr thing hasnt been a big ordeal YET...I am glad too...I wouldnt want to see all the Glockers cry.:neener:
