After months of stalling, NPS finally acquiesced to the FOIA request. There's 163 pages. There's a whole lot of fluff, nothing new, some totally unrelated stuff and about 20 pages of some related stuff. I'm still going through it.

I've scanned and published the first few relevant pages at
www.bighammer.net/timeline.html - click on the FOIA link at the top

Or

The response means as much for what it says and contains, as well as what it doesn't say and doesn't contain, such as untrained and armed folks assisting parks LE - never happened apparently. There's Brady stuff, MMM stuff but no balancing NRA (not ILA) material, etc.

What does this mean?

I'm going to need some help analyzing the petition denial, FOIA data, and debunking propaganda. We need solid data, counter arguments and common sense to overcome the institutional bias against citizens at NPS. If you're apt at this, email me off my website (contacts at the bottom of the page) I'll try to get the documents formatted & scanned in the order of perceived relevance...

All Hail the Govenment Worker

The first document posted appears to be nothing more than a bunch of government workers trying to maintain their supremacy over their subjects, the American Citizen. "We and other LEO's should be allowed to carry guns", but not peasants, they can't be trusted and are too lowly of a creature that we cannot fathom they they are our equals. These sub-law enforcement types need to learn to be good slaves and do what we say.

Lots of double standards and untrained facts. I like that they said someone was poaching with a 9mm handgun and then they say many people use a weapon that is not large enough for an animal attack. So I would be willing to bet the 9mm is at least adequate for self defense against an animals according to them.

I also dislike the fact they are perfectly ok with officers and retired LEOs carrying but against the common citizen because they are not trained enough and could only make things worse.

I will post more later but if you start to read into it you will see that it is just a bunch of crap and they have no legitimate reason for us not to carry a firearm.
