    I still have mine...

To my knowlage that was the only time in America's history where they went door to door confinscating guns. I hope to God it is the last. I am happy to say I had the forsight and sence to leave town 14 hours before the storm hit.

Vote McCaine if you don't want to pay more taxes for socialist medicine and more stringent gun laws... We need a conservative justice in the supreme court and a stewart to usher in more energy secure nation. May God bless the Republican party with victory!

Not the first time guns have been confiscated here in the US. The first time was in NY but it wasn't door to door. They used registration lists of firearms that had been legally registered per NYS/NYC then an ex post facto law banning "assault weapons" was enacted. Those weapons were sought and seized. California had it's own version of sale or surrender your previously legal "assault weapons." But the New Orleans seizure was the most public and blatant act to date. Oh, and they still haven't returned all the firearms seized despite court orders.

How can those individuals who enforced these orders and viloated these peoples rights live with themselves:barf: and call themselves Americans?

It's got to be an example of what not to do, of when an order should not be obeyed. Common sence, concience, and a thought process would dictate that. Anything else is a robot or a traitor.

Harve, that's a question that I've been asking for 2 1/2 years, ever since NRA and the Second Amendment Foundation joined forces to sue and get an injunction against the gun grab.
In a discussion on the air once with Police Supt. Warren Riley, I asked him point blank who issued the order to confiscate, told him I wanted an answer "right now" and he danced around and didsn't give a direct response.

    Oh, well.

This part is the scariest. That and the way DC is STILL banning semi auto handguns even after the SCOTUS clearly stated that they are to be allowed makes me think the system is pretty much beyond saving by legal means. The in all cases, the govt has been caught doing wrong, has major egg on it's face, but they just decide they aren't going to abide by the rule of law...and nothing is done about it.

Wow, that was a shocking video to watch. I am no lawyer, but that to me looked like a completely illegal police action. I have to wonder what it would finally take before people will take it no more.

Four of the nine Supreme Court Justices just voted that the 2nd Amendment doesn't mean what it says...

    Do you see a problem?

    Just sayin'...

In every civilization there are those that are loyal agents of the extant government. The USA is no exception.

A search will bring up numerous threads on this, from when it happened to every news story about it. It's time to stop beating this dead horse!

Do a search, read all the hundreds or maybe even thousands of posts on this subject and if you can think of something original to say..then and only then start a new thread.
