Anybody else catch Ted Nugent vs Heidi Prescott of the HSUS last night on CNN (12/1)?

I thought it was poignant given my recent post on dog fighting and the following discussion on HSUS. The topic was "What age is too young for kids to go hunting?" HSUS wants legislation that children must be 16 YO before they can hunt citing recent hunting accidents involving young hunters. Nuge mentioned a kid that was 5 that he had recently gone hunting with as well as statistics that showed more kids on average are hurt playing ping pong and football than by hunting accidents. Anyhow it got interesting right at the end when Nuge made the statement that HSUS wanted to ban ALL hunting. "Let's call a spade a spade. Ain't that right, Heidi?" No answer from Heidi, you could tell she was caught off guard. Then Ted says, "Heidi ho?" after a long pause by Heidi. She went into how they wanted to ban "canned hunting, internet hunting etc" but never outrightly said "all hunting" and then it was time to move on. Nuge got her good... I though CNN did a good job of staying in the middle on it btw

Ted nugent is kind of over the top but he makes good points and is
not afraid to speak his mind.

I went to see him in concert in 1990.

It started to rain on the outdoor stage.

With a recent concert electrocution accident fresh in everyones mind they were about to shut down the show

Nugent Yelled into the microphone :

"Mother nature stop this rain or I'm going to go out and shooting all of your
mother f***ing deer!"

Sure enough the rain stopped and the music went on.

I can't stand his delivery, but he really nails people sometimes. My favorite point he makes is when he's debating some generic animal rights activist and he mentions that, when he hunts in impoverished nations, all animals he kills are given to people for food and clothing. Thousands of pounds of food for people who badly need it. It's a pretty difficult point to counter.

Ted

Yeah, he can be a little over the top, and some people don't like the way he delivers his message but...

With all the rabid, raving over the top Anti's...it's nice to see someone on our side getting their message across in the same way.

Kind of a breathe of fresh air to hear someone actually say what they think instead of saying what they think the sheeple want to hear.

I give him credit for not going "over the top" in this particular interview. He stayed pretty relaxed through the whole thing.
