NUMRICH Has Mauser 98 Bottom Metal

They have repro 98 Mauser hinged bottom metal in stock. The last one I got a year or so ago was decent. They will probably need some fitting to the bottom metal if you use an AM trigger and some stock inletting.

Well spotted! I think this is the kind of thing that's worth grabbing now while available and saving for the future.

Years ago, Numrich had a big batch of milled Mauser floorplates available, priced cheap. I bought five; I believe I've used two of them to date.

I got several of those back then and gave one to a friend in Mt and used the other two. They were well made.

I have an Husqvarna commercial 98 8 Mauser that does, and I occasionally get something from Simpson Ltd that needs a hinged floorplate, so some of us still look for these, but you're right, most Mausers have been built for years and don't need a hinged floorplate.

Used one on the 8x64s, 86mm mag box. Direct swap for military bottom metal, footprint is a touch bigger than commercial 98 guards. Overall a nice functional piece.
