Why is it every like 3 months it seems someone wants introduce this bill. I'm getting a little tired of contacting my Senators -- not that they even give a damn -- since my Senator is anti Schmuck Schumer and his stepinfetchit opportunist whats her name :cuss:

Cuz they really, really want this bill. It's for your own good don't ya know? They just want it to help protect you, not enforce a tyranny, really.

Golden, you will need to contact your STATE Senator and Assembly Member about this bill. This is a NY Legislature issue not the Federal Congress, therefore Chuck doesn't have a vote in this.

There are more than this bill on the table. Please contact your State Assembly Member and Senator!

I'm not going into how many ways this bill is awful, but I once marched with my current Senator years ago when I was working on an political friend of her's campaign so it looks like I'm gonna have call her up and try to explain just how awful this bill is in non-gunnie terms. Maybe try and setup a face to face on the weekend. Anyone got any tips or suggestions what I should say?

Stay calm and stick to the facts. Logically explain why these bills will only serve to further burden an already overburdened law enforcement and over taxed populace, while doing nothing to actually stop crime from happening.

Ballistic Imaging (A3477) failed to make it out of Assembly Codes.

As to the original question on the Microstamping bill (A6468)... it still is on the 3rd reading (since 5/6/2010).

Microstamping is being pushed by the company that developed the process. They have pushed this in many states. Make a campain contribution and they have a bill submitted.

Pretty much expected, since the Assembly has a majority with the downstate anti-gun politicians. The State Senate is where these bills get shot down. If you are from NY please contact your State Senator to vote against these bills when they come up for a vote in the Senate!

Let's stay focused, folks. This isn't the place to debate the effectiveness, legality, or motivation behind this bill and technology - this is the place to get organized, and fight it.

Springfield 30-06 & Al LaVodka have posted links to find out who you should be contacting, and what to tell them when you do - so let's get on it, huh? If we give up, they win by default.
