OK. We hit polls, we make comments and now we need to hit this site. Many of us have written letters to our representives. The President of the United States has started his OWN site highlighting stories of gun violence. Nothing is mentioned about self defense. http://www.barackobama.com/stories/gun-violence/all/all/3/

Edit. I just left my personal story of self defense. I doubt it makes the cut. I am so mad right now it is hard to stay "High Road."

Remember that self defense with a gun constitutes "gun violence"!

Everyone with a legitimate SD story should respond.

Edit: Well I submitted my story but so far it has not shown up. All the stories I have read so far are either comments in favor of gun control or stories of tragedies caused by a person with a gun.

I suspect that all submissions will be reviewed and any in support to RKBA will be omitted.

Well, I posted stating that it is shameful that our President (A father of two) is dancing in the blood of Men, Women and Children in an effort to forward his antigun politics and that anyone with two brain cells to rub together would realize guns are not the problem. It is sad that our government and healthcare system cannot contain the rising tide of mental illness and that they are putting the weight of this problem on law abiding citizens.

I posted the NRA video link.

Think it will get posted? If so, it will get read as there is only one other post from Maine and she indicated that there should be an AWB but also pointed out that guns are not the problem. PICK ONE.

I'm going through the pages and it seems like all I'm seeing is the typical anti-gun rhetoric. It's no surprise that in most of the stories, none of the legislation being considered would have helped.

I just posted mine:

"My wife and I were loading our two young boys into our minivan in an Atlanta parking garage when my wife spotted a rough looking guy coming up behind me. She got my attention and we got everyone locked safely in the minivan. The guy kept pounding on my window yelling at us. I though he was going to break the glass and harm me and/or my family so I got out my handgun, still in its holster, and held it up where he could see it. He immediately put his hands up, said he was sorry, and backed away. If I had not been armed I'm not sure I would be here alive today to tell my story."

OP, when you edited your post you cut the] off of the end and broke the link.

Was anyone's story actually posted on the site? I've looked through several pages, and see nothing but anti-gun points of view. Many of the "stories" are not stories at all. They are simply people saying they support gun control.

Maybe the families of the innocent people killed in drone attacks could recount their stories on the site?

Nothing posted for Nevada yet.
Posted my story referencing the criminal who barracaded himself in his house a block away from us, and shooting at the police. Thankfully, my wife and I were protected by our semi-automatic ak47 with it's standard capacity 30 round magazine.

EDIT: This references our first house out in a low income neighborhood in Sun Valley, known as the Meth Capital of the US at one point.

Of all the nonsense this administration has done this one really is over the top. It is unbelievable that this is so blatantly onesided. It is disgracefull

BluEyes, I was a little skeptical of the submission terms myself, but oh well. I didn't say anything incriminating or awful. And they can take what I wrote and republish it wherever they'd like, for free. :)

Biden's story of gun violence, would be when he tripped over his shotgun and hit his head on the cofee table.

hahaha I couldnt resist... I just posted this....

"I was horrified one evening I was broken down and my cell phone was dead. I went to the nearest house and stood in the brightest light I could find and knocked on the home owners door hoping to get some help. A gun toting maniac ran out on to the balcony and sent two blasts from a shotgun right into the ground in front of me. I had never been so scared in my life."

Included the Just Ask Joe video....
