Odd 9mm brass

This turned up in a bucket of range brass. It's nickel plated and Berdan primed. Any idea what the markings mean?

Russian Barnaul factory zinc-plated case.

It's a steel case. Test it with a magnet and then toss it.

I found some 45 very similar and was excited to bring some new steel cases home to test out(got tula 45 steel up to 8 reloads so far). Once I got in the truck, I was disappointed to see they were berdan primed.
