Hey all,

A Cz75 P-01 came to my shop with an odd problem. The owner (For whatever reason) punched in the Slide Stop Spring pin into the gun and now though the pistol functions and cycles normally, the slide refuses to move forward for dis-assembly even with the Slide stop removed.

Tried a lot of things to reach into the area with thin 'hooks' , 'L's' through the tiny 3mm(or so) hole but to no avail. I can't even look through any gap anywhere in the gun with the slide retracted or otherwise.

My guess is that the pin missing (somewhere inside the gun I suppose) the Slid stop spring has spring up and is blocking the slide.

Would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you all in advance.

Regards

Could be, but I think the pin is still partly in the frame with the inside end sticking out into the cam channel, blocking the barrel. Just tap the pin in further until it stops, and the slide should come forward. Make sure the pin doesn't get lost when the slide comes off.

Thanks Jim,

Actually got it fixed yesterday. Sorry for failing to update on that.
You came pretty close to it though. The gentleman had punched the pin into the gun entirely and it got wedged into an awkward corner...some sustained jiggling and all manner of wire hooks finally got the slide to slip out...much to everyone's relief.

Thanks again though.

Best regards!
