    Marv and Monac,

How long ago did you guys sell the Whitneys and what did you get? I am thinking of taking mine to a large show and doing some swapping.

Wish I still had the .22lr Colt Diamondback with 2 1/2" barrel I got as an 8th grade graduation gift . . . same with the Ruger Super Single Six .22lr with extra .22 Mag cylinder.

Traded the first for a .30/06 M70 I've hunted with in the US and Africa, and the second for a 5" S&W M27, so I keep telling myself I didn't do too bad . . .

A Colt Lightning .22 long pump rifle that was made in 1917. Had to sell it during some hard times. It was hard to find .22 Long (Not .22 LR) ammo for it, though.

The above is one of them except mine was in 22LR. Several others that I will not be listing.

A S&W 25-2. Wasn't into revolvers much back then and I hated dealing with the clips for the .45. Now I have a TR45 (325) and I use RIMZ poly moon clips with it. If I'd known about the RIMZ back then I never would've sold it. :(

I had an identical one in the early '80s. Carried it as a BUG when I was a Deputy Sheriff. A definite last-resort gun, as a point of contact shooter. If you couldn't touch the target with it when you fired, you'd probably miss....

Got stolen - serves them right!

There have been a few, but the one I regret the most was a Springfield Single Shot Adapter for the Mdl 1911a1 in .444 Marlin. Kinda miss my old Rem Mdl 660 in .308, and the Star 30MI too.

I regret EVERY gun I have ever let slip away.
Every single one but I know I will continue to have them come and go as there are simply too many interesting firearms in the world to be able to keep and hold on to an example of every single one.

One of my 44 Auto Mags plus 357 AMP barrel along with dies, 1,000 Rds of ammo, and 500 brass. All for $1,000 back in 1991 when I was unemployed. I needed a computer, which is long gone. :banghead:

I've got two and looking at a third one in the show case at BGF&R.
They were ahead of their time.

A very long time ago (20+ years). I don't remember what I got, but it would not have been much, because I am terrible at selling guns.

Mauser HSc. Exquisite .32 ACP pocket pistol. It went to a good home but I still miss it and want another one.

A Sauer .44 Magnum revolver. Looked pretty much like a Redhawk. I traded it for a motorcycle. I should have kept the revolver...

A bolt action 12ga shotgun. I've looked for it in some of the gun catalogs, but can't find anything that precisely matches my memory, but there were a lot of variations, apparently mostly made by Savage/Stevens no matter whose name was on them. I traded it off because I didn't trust it... there were no locking lugs, just the bolt handle dropping into a notch at the back of the receiver. But it pointed very well, and I wouldn't mind having another.

That's another one I was dumb enough to sell. I had one made after the war at the Mauser Oberndorf factory for the French. Very well made, with a very durable parkerizing-type finish.

S&W 58 , A.41 M&P. A pass along gun in Viet Nam. I got it for a case of warm beer and 6 cartons of sea store cigs. Had to leave it in county with my replacement. I wish I could have brought it back.

All three of my Springfield Armory 1911's. Especially the Stainless Champion V10. They all jammed at least twice in 50. I traded them all off and now I wish I had just sent them back to the factory to be repaired.

A few I wish I had bought, never sold one of my own.

Many many deals I wish I had taken.
