    I assume that is the semi version that is being made. Fun guns, but I had enough of them in the service. Gawd, are they heavy!

    The thing on the muzzle is a GI flash hider, not a muzzle brake. It is needed in dim light to keep the shooter from being blinded by the muzzle flash. You can almost read a newspaper by the flash from a .50 without it.

    Ammo does cost, though, even reloaded.

    I recall watching on the History Channel where they're firing the M2 and noticed they're tapping the butterfly to fire one or two rounds at a time. If that's the case, except that the originals were FA, it's really not a prerequisit that the new ones be FA. Well, on the other hand, for what they cost...
