"Here laddy, let me take this very lethal weapon of self defense and choose to use rounds that are not optimal for killing. I'd rather risk my life and limb and make it take longer for that mugger to painfully die, just so some news reporter won't go 'he uses bullets designed to kill because he's a serial killer'".

I just don't get it anymore. These people do realize that they are stating in all seriousness that using ammo which can defend someone most effectively in self defense situations while minimizing the chance of someone else getting hurt is a bad thing?

These people would probably be in shock if they learned that their friendly neighborhood cop carries hollow point bullets in their handpistols.

THR is neither “The Daily Bird Cage Liner” nor "The Daily Outrage". It should come as no surprise to any of us that the media has almost no idea about firearms or firearm owners other than the are teh evilz.

Rather than posting our shock and dismay at yet another media outlet getting it wrong maybe we should be writing letters or making phone calls in an effort to educate the media. Will they change overnight? No. But at least it is actually doing something.
