The issue is probably that there's a lot of erroneous information on the web, with little knowledge of where it is coming from & little accountability for validity.

Then froums such as these are probably lumped together with all the garbage that is out there. I've looked at a few internet boards that I won't visit again because of the topics of discussion & language used to express opinion, not to mention the constant "egging" on.

Even TFL would get trolled frequently.

But I'm with you - I've learned a lot from my time spent involved in "quality" internet boards, and there is a distinction.

I don't see how anyone could suggest that the exchange of ideas and ideals is a waste of time. THR and TFL before it encourage this.

Knowledge is power, and through the exercize of that power comes the ability to verbally destroy the trolls who spew forth the falsehoods of Gun Control.

If you have a thirst for knowledge of a subject you have a passion for, good Internet forums are a gold mine. I frequent a few and moderate one forum of something else I have interest in. I find that those who stumble upon a quality forum end up being greatful they did for the same reason. Luckily, there are those that are only too happy to share knowledge with folks looking for answers.

I know I certainly glad I stumbled upon TFL by mistake, which led me here to the High Road.
