Try to find a nice LH Remington or Savage BA with the "short" action and have it rebarreled to 20-22" 7mm-08. Add a Bell & Carlson synthetic stock and pillar bed it. Timney or Rifle Basix trigger and off to Robar for NP3.

Mount the Leupold Vari-X III 2.5x8 'scope I won in a gunshow raffle and I'll have my ideal all-around hunting rifle!

Last time I had "disposable funds" I contributed $250 toward Innocents Betrayed , bought a holster to replace one plumb worn out, bought my mom a single shot 20 ga for HD, and private lessons and training-for myself.

I would -again-do lessons/private training, contribute to a worthy cause (Jim March's efforts?...etc.) something RKBA.

Yes I really want some things, actually have a need or two. My firearms -well I own the least I ever have.

I just want to continue to improve how to use what I have, and continue to work to preserve the freedoms allowing me to do so.

$1000, hmmm.....well, I always enjoy shootig at TDSA and Insights will be in Baton Rouge and Austin soon and Benner's school up in Ohio has some mighty fine classes coming up. Hmm, guess I'd dump the grand into tuition and, since "tuition's already paid, honey" I guess I'd just have to make the sacrifices and come up with money for beans and bullets.
