Is Joe Manchin riding for a long fall? He was re-elected with support from the NRA and WV gun owners. Now he has sold out all the way, writing a long article in the Washington Post about how he is a hunter, has a five shot rifle and sees no reason anyoine should be allowed to have anything else.

Now the CA ex-cop killer had a five shot sniper rifle that is no different than Joe's hunting rifle and already Feinstein and others are calling for a ban.

I think Joe Manchin is due for a rude awakening. Will West Virginia give it to him next election?

I hope so. He was a crappy governor and is an even worse senator.

I hope the fine citizens of West Virginia, with their long tradition of hunting and shooting, un-elect him in the next election.

Iono, I live in eastern ky. Wsaz news covers the tri state area, it seemed to me Manchin was a popular Governor and may still carry a lot of that popularity. I hope they smoke him in the next election but I have my doubts.

I'm from the very same County he hails from........he HAS truly angered his constituency. Talked to a close friend there yesterday and that was one of the very first things he brought up.

If Manchin is squared off with a competent opponent next time around he will lose.

well, i am moving to WV next month and I guarantee that I will not be voting for him come the next election.

sure sounds like he spent too much time in DC and needs to get booted out. I used to be a SD resident (grew up there) and we voted out Daschle when he lost touch with his constituents..
