I have a Rodda single shot, caliber .500-.450 #1 Express. It is in the fairly rare Field's patent falling block action. I would like to research it, if possible. Don't know if any records for Rodda exist.

    Thanks!

The institute did not have anything on the Rodda gun, however, we went to Search and found the following:

R.B. Rodda & Co. Gun makers to H.T. the viceroy & H.R.H. the duke of Edenburgh. London & Calcutta double rifle 27" barrels. Under barrels marked Henry's rifling. A&T large bore unknown BP marks

This was liested as under aution in Sep 2003.
