So, M*CARBO, we need to talk.

Look, when I ordered some parts from your website, I was just doing what comes naturally. I own a Kel-Tec Sub2000, and you had some cool widgets for it. I entered my info, you sent the parts. I thought we both had a good time, and that was it.

But then you had to ruin it by getting weird.

Perhaps I should've seen the crazy when I received four emails from you before my merchandise had even shipped. But you just couldn't stop yourself there, oh no. I got an email over ever single aspect of my lone purchase: an email confirming the transaction, an email thanking me for buying, an email when it left the building, an email reminding me it was on its way, an email telling me it was delivered, an email asking me if I liked it, an email asking me to take a survey, an email encouraging me to join the M*CARBO "Brotherhood," (WTH that is), an email asking if I needed help installing the parts, etc.

So. M*CARBO, I've bought one item from you and have received THIRTEEN total emails (I counted). This just can't continue. I'm sure I'm not the only guy who bought just one thing and then you never heard from him again. Let it go already. You're just sounding desperate now. There are other customers in the world, some of whom might want to buy from you again and again, and enter into the symbiotic financial relationship you clearly want. In fact, I'm sure of it, because the stuff I got from you was pretty good. I just didn't need anything else. I'm sorry you wanted more from me, but it just isn't going to happen, okay?

Don't make me block you.

I've bought two trigger kits from them. I received a handful of emails through both transactions but that's what I consider good customer service.

I haven't received the bombardment of post transaction emails as you seem to be getting. I dont know if the fact that I actually gave them feedback on the experience is the reason or not.

Thirteen seems like a lot, but a confirmation, saying it’s processed , and saying it’s sent is nice IMHO. The follow up asking if you need help is also a nice touch in my opinion.

So I can see four or five, plus a weekly sale and some specials. It’s called marketing.

Now I know there are some companies that send two or three or more sales emails a day and I find that annoying. But that’s just me. But everyone is different.

The thing I bought was a bolt handle. You stick it in the hole on the bolt. Done.

You are nicer than me. But they've emailed me almost daily for more than a week now. It's doubly frustrating because I really DO like the items I got from them. And their website has the best (and just about the only) video on taking part the Sub2000.

But the automated system doesn’t know that.
Hence I’d cut them some slack.
Now I’m with you at 13 or so I’d be annoyed. Maybe you should unsubscribe from their emails.

Sounds like they're killing you with kindness, in an over the top, customer service kind of way!

Unsubscribe from their email service. If you feel their emails are excessive then don’t order from them again.

Simple

Oh, if only! I never subscribed to their mail service in the first place, so it was presumptuous of them to start bombarding me with missives. However, I did unsubscribe after 10 emails. They have sent me three more since then.

Yeah a lot of them sign you up automatically. Sportsman’s Warehouse did the same to me. It got annoying fast.

Some time some of those emails may come from the shipping agency,,,,,,,USPS will do that, And I appreciate it.

Your internet provider's email system should allow you to mark those messages as spam. I get emails constantly from Best Buy and a few others I've bought from. I designated them as spam and they go straight to the trash.

Reminds me of being in the hospital, ask me how I am feeling and it’s tired, leave me alone for a few minutes.

I like support after the sale, some folks don’t care at all. Always look at the little boxes checked (and in check them) when you complete the transaction, if you want no further contact. Some don do thatand you have to go to the bottom of subsequent emails and click “unsubscribe”.

I got some stuff from them, well a trigger spring kit for the Mini. I haven't received a single post transaction email. Thanks for reminding me they are still out there. Some companies can overwhelm you with communication. Like Northern Brewers, Harbor Freight, or New Egg. The good not only stop when asked, they will also have a quick way to ask.

13 is a little much. But I appreciate emails that tell me the order is confirmed, has left the warehouse, an arrival date, and confirmed arrival emails. I’d even take the survey because of the thoughtfulness.

And those surveys can pay off. 2 weeks ago I ordered a pair of sunglasses and some braided line. Each item had a coupon in it for free braided line and another pair of sunglasses. Figured what the heck. I liked the product. I’ll see what kind of gimmick this is. Took a short survey, and left a positive review and that was it. 3 days later I had a new spool of braided line and a new pair of sunglasses free. No shipping. Nothing. And no more emails from them.

Funny this came up! My neighbor was just making fun of their brotherhood to me. Haha!

However, for what it’s worth, he bought their internal recoil buffer pad and said it works as advertised.

I actually LIKE a lot of status messages for things I order or ship.
I get all the notifications for UPS, USPS, FEDEX, my bank etc...
I really hate dead air.

I have trained myself over the years to select entire strings of emails after skimming the subjects and deleting them ZZZZZZZZZZZIP!
It takes tons of practice to learn to do this but with diligence you'll become proficient.

Robocalls? No that's another matter entirely.

Glad I bought the Volquartsen hammer for my 597 and not the MCarbo kit.

I have heard great things about the MCarbonkit in the 597 though...

Oh yeah, there's nothing wrong with their products, except maybe their price for some of them. ($60 for a folding rear site that's just a flat piece of die-cut aluminum?) I bought the same thing your friend did, along with the heavier bolt knob, and recoil is noticeably less. I will probably buy something else from them; nobody else is making the accessories they're selling.

But ... yeah, that "Brotherhood" thing. WTH is that all about? I know it's a marketing gimmick, but they seem half-serious about it.

And they emailed me AGAIN today! Number 14, FOUR of them after I unsubscribed from their list!
