Old-style magazines in NAA G32?

I have new Guardian 32 with a serial number in the ADOXXXX range. Do the "old style" NAA magazines, with the flat metal base plates work in the newer Guardians? I thought I got a deal on a set of magazines but someone just informed me they will not work in the newer guns. Anyone have any experience with this?
