Hi guys,

A local pawn shop has a Celestron 51007, which is a waterproof 62mm 20 x 60 with ED glass. It looks about the right size for spotting 200 yards or so, but I wanted to find out more about it and tried online and drew a big blank. It's marked at $200 and I can haggle a bit, but I don't know if this is a reasonable deal compared to more recently-made gear.

Can get the same specs you listed on that brand NIB for under $100 on Amazon.
62MM ED glass under $100?

Where?

I am not familiar with that particular Celestron, but I have a Celestron Regal 20x60-80 with ED glass ($450ish years ago) that is very nice. If it is indeed ED glass, and if you can get it for $150/$175 I would think you would be getting very good value for your dollar.

Be sure to look through it. Celestron makes a lot of astronomical telescopes and astronomical telescope images are often inverted.
