Im basically looking for cases for reloading.

thanks in advance.

Antihero, 7.62x54R.net hasn't posted any ratings on it, but you can check others at this link:

Most of what I've heard about it is negative, although if that's because of the cost for what you get, or because it's truly crappy ammo, I couldn't say. I've personally never tried it and they don't stock it here locally. It's brass cased, but berdan primed, so reloading it isn't an option for most in the US. I bought up 1300 rounds of Yugoslavian '70s surplus that was basically the same thing except corrosive primers, and paid about half of what Ammoman is charging for Olympic.

Some threads on Olympic in general:

My suggestion is to only buy a box or two if you want to try it out.

Hmm according to the Grafs&Sons ad it was Boxer primed. Like i said i am just basically looking for cases and since the ammo cost the same as buying the cases i thought id get double the fun from it, but if i cant reload it i doubt it would be better than Wolf or Brown Bear.

Run a search about it here on THR. It will answer your question.

I did run a search and came across mostly people taking about Olympic arms AR's, hence why i posted this.

I don't doubt what you're saying about the ad, but two other vendors (Ammoman and Midway) both advertise it as berdan primed. You spends your money, you takes your chances. ;)

If you're looking for brass cased and reloadable, you might try the Igman that Aim Surplus has right now. I have 100 rounds of their light ball, and it's done well for me out of the box. It's not cheap, but at least you know what you're getting.

As far as brass cased reloadable goes, there's also Wolf Gold/Prvi Partisan/Hot Shot (same thing, different boxes) and S&B. Century sells Hot Shot, several vendors carry Wolf Gold, and J&G has S&B.
