The actual street price of an AR from Ruger will be in the $1500-1600 range, not the $1995 MSRP. Take a look at the difference between the other MSRPs from the company, and the actual prices normal people pay for them. Gee, an engineer, NOT. Has the HK 416 had the problems you mention? What should be recalled within 30 days are these goofy pronouncements. You don't like it? Don't buy it. It's not like they're forcing anyone to pick them up. The M14 was a 7.62x51 caliber weapon. Why on earth would anyone "update" that large a weapon to 5.56? Did you mean a Mini-14? S&W introduced an AR variant, and sold out to the Clinton Administration, as well. Where were you people when THAT occurred? Why would Ruger, a long-time long-rifle producer, be condemned for making an AR variant, while S&W, who only dabbles in rifles and shotguns periodically, does the same thing without a whimper from the peanut gallery?
