i'm looking to pick up 2k of 45acp

has anyone dealt with www.oncefiredbrass.com. Their prices seem good, but payment is check or cod only

I was also checking out www.frangiblebullets.com but their shoping cart function seems broken

brassmanbrass.com is down for me also

I second Bullet's recommendation use eBay. I have bought a lot of quality brass off eBay for less then what I could get it from Natchez, but it all depends on who is bidding.

Be careful going the ebay route. I've been hearing of guys getting a bunch of .45 that has small primer pockets.:what: That's certainly got to jam things up.

Personally I have purchased a few thousand from Ebay and never had a problem. The brass was Winchester, Remington and Federal. I had no problems with it. Of course there is a first for everything. I think I am going to order from the link that JDGray provided though because I would like to load some nickel .45ACP.

I just discovered these guys at the last Tulsa show:

    http://blue-star-inc.com/

They have a contract with Remington and pick up brass in 55 gallon drums. The brass has been "once fired" but only with a plug, not a bullet. It looks brand new.

    HQ Brass

I've been on the road quite a bit over the last 6 months but was surprised to see no mention of HQ Brass. Randy has been a great source for me. I just pulled him up on-line and saw that he is still up and operating and offering 2000 of .45acp Brass @ $120 .

I have bought several thousand rounds of brass off ebay and have no complaints. Most of the time there will be a few more pieces than advertised.

I bought some from oncefiredbrass.com through ebay and was very pleased with the brass I got from them. Next time I'm going directly to their site rather than through ebay since it is a few bucks cheaper.

well, I tried to make an order from brassmanbrass.com, but...

first off, right away they say "if you aren't using IE, then email us instead". Well, screw that. Firefox is a hell of a lot better than IE, and every computer mag agrees, except for MS magazines of course. Even the fed government recommends not to use IE due to security holes.

So, I fill out the order form anyway, just to see what happens.... and it takes you to your email....

    sheesh.

In the last month I bought 1800 40S&W once fired cases delivered for $28.00 and 2000 9mm once fired cases delivered for $28.00 - on EBAY.

i've had good luck on ebay over the years, but have never ordered once-fired brass.

I don't know how you would know if you're getting "once-fired" or "five-times fired" anyway.

About the only thing you can do when buying on EBAY is check the seller’s feedback, other than that I’m not sure how to tell, except for brass that has the primers crimped in. Some sellers don’t list their brass as once fired. I asked one seller if his brass was once fired and he replied that he was not sure (I didn’t bid on it). Some of the sellers have a lot of brass for sale and list it as - once fired from a police range. For the price I’ve paid I plan on only shooting the brass once and just let it fly (no more chasing brass).

That is a good question. Maybe someone else can answer it.

I just ordered some nickel plated .45ACP ammo from the link that PinnedAndRecessed provided. I will let you folks know how it turns out once I clean it up and use it.

If you watch e-bay for a few weeks, you'll see guys that put brass on there all the time.

I bought a bunch of .223's and it was great. Then again, it's only as good as the seller.

e-bay is THE best place for good prices on scopes. Just gotta be patient and not bid on everything. If a few are there this week, there will be another dozen next week.

dang, I finally buy an ar-15, now every company I go to that sells once fired 223 brass... is "out of stock".

    didn't know there's a brass supply problem for 223.
