For informal shooting:
Browning Buckmark
S&W 41
SIG/Hammerli Trailside
Walther/Hammerli Olympia
Beretta 76
Bernardelli 69
Bernardelli P010
do those Italian Job shoot better than the American Breeds?

I had a Buckmark 5.5 back in the mid-1990s. It’s the fat barrel, contoured wood grip, and hooded front sight. I spent hours at the public range dinging steel plates. Absolutely loved it. Of course, I sold it for something “better” which I’m sure paled in comparison and was sold quickly.

My first handgun that I bought myself was a Ruger Mark II government. That was a sweet gun too. Today, I have a few Mark II and III. I prefer the II.
my 1st had me down was a Mk2 22/45! had a very crispy trigger job! When I put that ugly thing in peoples hands and and they ring steel at 25 yards. everyone is suppressed

did you polish the ramp. I’m a sucker for Flitz and a dermal polish

Replaced it with an MCarbo SS ramp, the OEM is plastic! To date I’ve swapped the magazine catch, slide stop lever, feed ramp, and trigger. Also bought the MCarbo magazine loader which is easier on the fingers.

People at the range unfamiliar with KelTec think you’re shooting a hand cannon as the pistol is loud, complete with fireball.

I like MCarbo, used it on my P07 for a smooth DA

Do you only load to 25? I can get 30 in my magazines just fine but it really seems to have some hitches with the last 5 rounds if they aren't seated just right.

And yes, M*Carbo is the final 20% of the KelTec process of manufacturing :p (in price, finishing and function).

has anybody handed one of these? probably they most accurate over the counter.22 I ever shot

........ Had one of those back in the mid 1970's and it's probably my biggest regret among the guns I wish I hadn't sold. Twenty years later I wanted another 22 auto pistol and in 1995, wound up with a less expensive S&W 2206 after seeing the prices on the Mod. 41's. Although I went for the top of the 2206 model line; the target variant with the adjustable target sights and beautiful hardwood grips that got replaced with some Pachmyer grips so the original grips could remain beautiful. It's a great shooter, has been trouble free and I'm real happy with it; but it just isn't that Mod. 41 that I still miss after all these years. It's a fine little gun that I have no plans on selling, ( unless I can get another Mod. 41).. IMG_1767.JPG ..

Probably not but they are different, interesting and beautiful.
I add the Hammerli P240 that, with the convertions can shoot .22LR, .32S&W WC and .38SPL WC.

Mark_Mark

Some .22s you might want to consider:

S&W Model 41
S&W Victory
Browning Buckmark
Beretta Neos
Ruger Mk.IV 22/45

Some older .22s to look for:

Beretta Model 70S
SIG Trailside

Some .22 conversion kits:

Nelson Custom Guns for the 1911
Marvel Precision Unit #1 for the 1911
CZ Kadet for the P01
CZ Kadet for the P07

Do you only load to 25?

I do load to 25, if only for ease of splitting ammo boxes between mags.

I like variety though so most any rimfire is a welcome addition to the stable. I’d have at least one of everything if money permitted.

Still hunting for a Mk IV lower, will probably do a Kraken build.

Yes, I have one. To be honest it is not my most favorite. To heavy, but that is why it is so accurate.

Some people complain about the SW Victory 22, I like the gun a lot and have had no issues with it. Very accurate and the sights are very good. I did put a TK trigger in mine,

Well, heck, as long as we're showing 'em off . . . .

The Rugers are very nice but my Browning Buckmark exceeded my expectations and for $325 after rebate is was an absolute steel. Outstanding accuracy with even cheap bulk ammo and excellent reliability. Biggest problem I have is getting my wife to let me shoot it too once in a while when we are at the range together. The UFX Buckmark is perfect fit for my hands too, which is why I prefer it over my Ruger Standard, and trigger was excellent out of the box. I did replace the front sight with the Browning fiber optic one.

My M&P 22 Compact, though not near as accurate as my Buckmark, is a very fun and extremely reliable combat style 22 LR pistol. I would also like to try a Glock 44 sometime since I have a Gen 2 Glock 19 also though I know it also would not come close to the accuracy of my Buckmar or Ruger. I have read many many reviews of those that actually own the Glock 44 and almost everyone loves them.

Last but not least is a while back I picked up a P226 Conversion kit for 22LR and helped save money shooting my P226 in the last couple years but still a lot of fun.

I have a love affair with .22 Auto pistol. Am I missing something special?

currently have
Ruger mk2 (love)
Ruger MK4 with 2 extra uppers
Beretta 87 target (over rated)
JA .22 (jam-o-matic)

If you have deep pockets:
Browning Medalist
Colt Woodsman Match Target
Older Hi Standards (Victor)
S&W 41

I see the Beretta Neos mentioned a few times. Went to the indoor range/gunshop today and they have one for sale. It is their seldom used rental. Maybe it's karma.......
