One 45 ACP

G21 for me too. I did compare one I had to a P220 (also owned), and the Glock had less felt recoil due to the lower bore axis. I don't mind the Glock trigger, and I like the capacity and design simplicity.

I could have more 45 ACPs, but I do only have one, and it's a CZ 97B. After getting the 97B I eventually sold my 1911 because I always went to the CZ when I shot 45 ACP. I admire the 1911 a lot, but I much prefer the feel of the 97, and I shoot groups that are half the size of what I did with the 1911.

People on the internet often say the 97 is a lot bigger gun than the 1911, but I don't find that to be the case.

The 97 fits in my hand and just feels right (like pretty much every CZ):

LOL on that thread. Regardless of soul, these things will outlast me. In a .45 ACP, the 1911 platform.

It would be a tough call... The Pro Eclipse II, or the Pro Carry. For longevity reasons, I'd prolly pick the Eclipse, but I'm pretty smitten with the light and simple alloy Pro Carry without the safety lockwork.

I have a 5" Kimber Custom II on the way, but I'd pick one of my 4" Kimbers every day, and twice on Sunday if I had to settle for one.

JUST ONE??? That's just Ex-Wife talk, right there! I'll play though. When one thinks 45 ACP, the first thing that comes to mind has to be the gun that made the round famous. That would be the venerable 1911. We can argue about brands, models, vintages and features but it would have to be a 1911. Everything else is just a red headed step child.

If you could have just one pistol chambered in 45 ACP, which would you choose?

Do not overthink this. You have the rest of your collection and can buy other guns. Whatever the situation is, you can have just one pistol in 45 ACP. That means you could build a P320 in 45 with various slides and grip modules, trade with friends, or sell it off and buy another.

Assume that the limit is not legal, but for some sort of personal reason such as being a diehard 357 Magnum fan keeping a little bit of sin on the side in secret.

I in fact have just one pistol chambered in 45 ACP, a Colt 1911.

And I have neither the need nor desire to add another pistol chambered in 45 ACP.
