LOVE my CZ-75. I would carry it every waking minute if it was practical. Have to settle for the 442 on occasion. I wonder if the RAMI will end up being as popular.
 
Wow, congrats CZ! Now, if you folks would only build ONE MORE Champion in 9mm....:)
 
I wish they would make an alloy framed compact like the PO-1 with a manual safety instead of decocker - like the CZ75 Compact.
 
I hate to correct people but armoredman is wrong, the most copied handgun in the world is the S&W 38 revolver sometimes called a model 10 or M&P. I think they are even still in production. Maybe he meant automatic handgun.
 
One of my favority overall handgun designs. The only thing I'd like to see CZ do more of is increase their use of corrosion resistant materials.

There's a CZ in stainless steel, the P-01 has an alloy frame, and the polycoat is pretty darn rust-resistant. How much more do you really need?

Well, a stainless slide and controls would be nice. I actually covered my magazine release on my P-01 with paint to resist rust better. I was getting surface rust on the magazine release button quite a bit as well as the portion of the chamber that is exposed in the ejection port.

BTW, does anyone know of the stainless steel magazine release button on the 75b stainless will work on the P-01?
 
Well, I have contributed to cZ reaching their 1,000,000th pistol. Have some druthers for what I would like to see them introduce as well.
 
The one CZ75 I've fired, nothing all that special...If it wasn't for Jeff Cooper's ill-advised blessing (he never got any royalties or credit) it would have been just another former "commie gun"....:rolleyes:

The fact that he didn't get paid to say it, should make his endorsement all the more credible.

I just brought my new CZ75B home today. Hope to shoot it this week.

Sorry you had a bad experience with a CZ-75. Most people having experience with CZ's would disagree with you, but there are some lemons just like everything else.

FYI the CZ-75 was never designed for the Iron Curtain market or it would have been in 9mm Makarov. It was designed to be marketed to free societies.

Actually, I didn't make myself clear. I liked the pistol, especially the ergonomics; but nothing like many others in the same or cheaper price range.
I just feel there is far too much "gushing" over the CZ; almost "cult-like". Kudos to their production numbers.

My point about Jeff C. was HE was responsible for it taking off while the CZ was in it's infancy...In his famous statement about calling CZ 75 one of the finest 9mm's ever made was followed by his sour-grapes statement about wishing U.S. mfgr's could do the same...His statement in essence was to pinch the nose of some U.S. mfgr's that had ignored his recommendations. All his pronouncements were not taken by the public as favorable: the Bren Ten in which he had tremendous input in it's development became nothing more than a blur in history. Along with some of his recommendations in long-arms..:)
