Exactly. After all, Roy Rogers was always able to shoot the gun out of the bad guy's hand. And I especially like the TV incidents where the cop and the bad guy have guns pointed at each other and have a long conversation on various topics before shots are fired or the the BG surrenders. I have no direct experience, thank heavens, but I suspect it never happens that way in real life.
