Was looking at an old thread on TFL and thought it could use an update... If you could only buy five more rifles, regardless of price, what would they be?

    My choices:

    1. Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 in 257 Roberts
    2. Enfield Lithgow Sniper (or similar)
    3. Basic Middle-weight Benchrest Custom in 6x45
    4. Long Range Custom in 6.5x284
    5. Tikka Synthetic in 6.5x55

If I could stretch the limits just a bit, I'd probably add a 50 BMG of some sort - Republic Arms bolt gun. A Barrett would be too bad either.

EDIT: Dadgum... I misread the original post. I thought it said "only five rifles" rather than "only five MORE rifles." Maybe I should have actually read the thread title. Must have sleep....

Okay, I don't want to think that much tonight, so I'm going to let my original post stand. I'll get back to you on the "five MORE" topic.

    Ruger 10/22
    Marlin .30-30
    Winchester model 70 in .30-06
Some sort of evil, black AR.
Some sort of larger caliber bolt action.

Don't know the details on the last two, but those would cover just about all the bases. I'd have two bolt actions, a lever gun, and two semi-autos.

    Everyone needs a .22.
The .30-30 is "just because" everyone should own one. Great deer gun too.
The .30-06 is the most versatile platform for reloading, and it'll take down anything on the continent.
The AR would be "just in case."
If I won the lottery, I could take the larger bolt gun on safari in Africa. Or I could hunt bear/moose here with it.

Since I don't live in California, here you go..

    1) Sig 550 (full auto version)
    2) H&K G36K
    3) Barrett .50 cal (probably a bolt action)
    4) H&K 21E
    5) H&K PSG1

The parameters that were laid down were vague,so I decided to stretch them a "wee" bit...:D LOL :D

Well if I don’t have to figure out how to pay for them here are my picks.

    1. Barrett 82
    2. Krieghoff Classic double rifle .500/.416 NE
    3. Weatherby Mark V 30-378
    4. Winchester 1886 50-110 36†barrel
    5. Sharps 1874 45-110

You could probably buy a nice rifle for what it would cost to buy of a twenty round box for each of those rifles.
