Am looking at a Cougar Voere, for some reason this has peaked my interest. I know nothing about these rifles, any input would be very helpful.

Cougar Voere? ....................... not sure if I should shoot it or sleep with it

Opinions are like....umm........well they all stink.

And on a side note that's a beauty of a k98, but for my money I would buy an action, barrel it how I want it, stock it how I want it, and shoot it how I want it. Custom 98s are pricey. Had one that was built for somebody else for a while. Traded it for a Honda Rebel. I came out on top.

The company's name is a combination of the founders' names: Voetter and Restle. Cougar in Deutsch is PUMA

Voere of Kufstein, Austria is known for using Mauser actions for some very nice sporter rifles. They look similar to the old late 1940s and early 1950s Husqvarna rifles. and some of the older Parker Hales. They had various model numbers...

These days they make some unusual long range rifles in caliber like 338 Lapua.

Here is a photo of one on an auction site. You did very well.... Usually they are in the $500 to $600 range.
